Green Hour

I am a huge believer in making time for kids to just be kids. I grew up on 10 acres with orchards and flowers and a creek. We would spend all day outside growing up. Now that we live in the suburbs my kids are so sheltered, it's hard for them to really go out there in the world and just "play". I find it hard to believe that sometimes I have to force my kids to go outside, but as much as they may protest at first they always end up playing for hours. I love this Green Hour website. Hopefully it will remind us all of the importance of looking for bugs, climbing a tree or planting a flower.
